When serious health problems, injuries, or sudden illness strike, your pet deserves immediate attention. Our team provides urgent veterinary care Monday–Friday during regular business hours to help your companion get back on their paws quickly and safely.

If possible, please call ahead so our staff can prepare for your arrival — this helps us begin treatment the moment you walk in.

What to Do After Hours

If you notice any of the following, seek immediate veterinary attention:

• Pale or gray gums
• Rapid or labored breathing
• Weak or fast pulse
• Sudden change in body temperature
• Difficulty standing or walking
• Apparent paralysis or collapse
• Loss of consciousness
• Seizures
• Excessive or uncontrolled bleeding

When in doubt, call us — it’s always better to be safe.

Even the gentlest pet can react unpredictably when in pain. Approach slowly, speak calmly, and use care when handling.

• For dogs: Create a stretcher if they cannot walk, and keep the neck supported.
• For cats: Gently drape a towel or blanket over the head and lift into a carrier or box.
  Apply steady pressure to bleeding wounds.

If you believe your pet has ingested something toxic:

• Call us immediately if it is during business hours.
• After hours, contact the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center at (888) 426-4435 for expert guidance.
